Date of Birth: 28th March 1965
Place of Birth: West Bromwich
He attended Wednesbury Oak Primary School and moved onto Willingsworth High School on September 1976.
Steve began his professional career, aged 19, after being recommended to West Bromwich Albion in 1984 by his Tipton Town manager Sid Day, who also worked as a scout for the Baggies. In November 1986, Steve was sold to local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers, along with Andy Thompson, for £65,000 where he remained until the end of his professional career in 1999.
After joining Wolves Steve quickly became a firm favourite with the fans and was the first player to score 50 league and cup goals since Peterborough’s Terry Bly almost 30 years earlier. His goal scoring exploits led to him being chosen to play for his country, firstly at Under 21 level, then, in May 1989, at full level. In all he won 13 full caps for England. In February, 1998, he scored his 300th goal for Wolves. In the summer of 1999 a knee injury failed to respond to surgery and he was forced to hang up his boots. His loyalty to Wolves, his goal scoring exploits and charity work contributed to Bully, as he is still affectionately known by the fans, being awarded an MBE in the Millennium New Year’s honours list. In 2008, Steve entered the world of football management with a 10 month spell at Stafford Rangers.
Steve is now a Brand Ambassador for Sportingbet, and he also works along side his wife Kirsty in her events company Steve Bull Events.
He also fills his time playing the odd round of golf and going to the gym.
Steve has 3 children, Jack, Joe and Gracie Jo
